Our Story

It was 2020, and COVID-19 was in full swing. Thousands of people were labeled ‘non-essential’ and lost their jobs. I was one of them. I had been selling Mexico cross-border insurance for about 7 years when the border was closed. At first, I found myself lost and confused, and applied to any and every job with no success. It seemed like no companies were hiring.

I continued my largely fruitless efforts to find work. I decided that it would be fun to make my own company.

So, I started hashing out what I’d like to do. It didn’t take me long to realize that I loved TTRPGs. I had been playing a campaign for nearly a year with a few friends at that point. So, I thought, you know… why don’t I start a TTRPGs business?

To get things started, I made a Facebook page and then later a Facebook group(they are two different things, go figure).

I spent a lot of time creating content for the group. Mostly, I created hundreds of memes and answered any question or comment that came my way. The growth was… slower than a turtle with slow cast on it. I can’t tell you how many times I thought about dropping it and giving up on my dream.

Rising to the Occasion

It was at this point that I published one of my first viral memes. This happy accident became the ignition our fledgling group needed. What had once been only a few hundred followers quickly became a few thousand. As our numbers continued to grow exponentially, it became difficult to keep up with everything.

It was at this point that I realized I needed a team. Jason, who is a publisher by trade, decided to join me on this noble quest. After that, we added a few more, Robb, our YouTube aficionado, and Brian, our web designer and cybersecurity expert. We’ve been working together ever since.
